Uranus

Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun. The planet was named Uranus after the ancient roman Greek and Roman god of the heavens.
The diameter of Uranus is 51,810km. The temperature on Uranus is 214
°c. The distance from the sun is 2870 million km. Uranus has 27 satellites and 11 rings. It takes 84 earth years to rotate around the sun. Uranus is the third largest planet in the solar system. 

Uranus is known as a gas giant because it is mostly made up of gases. The gasses are mostly hydrogen with some helium. Uranus is thought to have a core made of rock and ice has been turned into liquid by the high pressures and temperatures. Uranus also has clouds of methane. The methane is what gives Uranus its blue-green colour.
