Venus

Venus is named after the ancient Roman goddess of love and beauty. Venus has no moons. It is the brightest planet in the sky when looking from the earth. Venus is about the same size as the earth. Not like the earth, Venus isn’t able to sustain life because of its poisonous atmosphere and high temperatures.
The temperature on Venus varies from 13șc to 202șc at the surface. Venus has no rings. It rotates around the sun 225 earth days.

The distance form earth to Venus is 41,840,000km.   Venus is the second planet from the sun. Its distance from the sun is about 108 million km. Venus’s diameter is 12,100 km. Scientists believe that Venus might have layers similar to those of the earth: an inner core made of metal, a thick middle layer of rock, and a crust.

Venus is one of the inner planets along with Mercury, Earth and Mars. These four planets are all rocky, solid and relatively dense. The surface of Venus was shaped by lava from volcanos. Venus’ atmosphere is made up mainly of carbon dioxide. Thick clouds that reflect the sunlight, makes Venus very bright in the earth’s night-time sky, cover the planet.
